I

January 2005:

At last, I'm now allowed off the lead without a muzzle!!

I have made a new friend - Harry the Greyhound    - he can run really fast.  We have some terrific chases!

Richard and Charlotte   have got engaged. Do I have to get them an engagement present and will I be invited to the wedding?

Unfortunately, towards the end of the month I caught my right fore leg on some barbed wire - a nasty three inch gash which necessitated my spending a day at the vets and having a general anaesthetic and seven stitches.  Here are some pictures of me and my bandage:

Three days later I had to have the wound re-dressed!

The Rest of 2005

An eventful year one way and another. I had a holiday at the Kennels in Fishbourne - not as comfortable as home but nice to meet some other dogs.

I discovered that when I was off my lead I could go off as far as I liked and come back when I felt like it.  Often they would get fed up looking for me and as I know the way home I came home by myself.  This was all OK until one day I decided to explore the Havant Road. A lady found me wandering along the verge and took me to the vets who rang my mum and dad.  When mum came to collect me the vet explained that they should get an electric collar to train me to come back so they did!  I  learnt very quickly to come when called partly because I am always given some cheese as a reward so that now they rarely have to zap me to get me to come.

they got a camcorder for Christmas and you can see some of their first efforts at videoing me:

Ted in Nore Barn Woods (at the end of my road) HERE

Pease be patient as theseare large files and will take a little time to download and play

As you can see they still have a lot to learn in the videoing department.
